·         It is important for kids to learn life saving skills at an early age.

·         Always have a long stick along your swimming pool and let kids know its uses.

 

When someone is drowning they panic a lot and pull anything they can get their hands to.

·         When saving someone do not get into the water as you might end up drowning also.

·         Hand them a long stick and pull them out.

·         Perform a mouth to mouth (CPR) if necessary.

 

Do not swim when there is thunder storm

When you are at a public swimming pool make sure there is a life guard at all times.

Report any suspicious faults/action you might notice in swimming pools

·         Unhygienic pool

·         Water level being below recommended markings

·         Children horse playing inside the pool

·         Anyone using illegal substances in public pools.
